How They Work

Our engineered ground anchor flights (spirals) wind their way into the ground and create a tree root–like hold. Then you simply bolt down your base plate or item.

Our industrial-grade commercial threaded hex-less GroundGrabbas are designed so that, once driven into the ground, a portion of the threaded shaft remains above surface—ready for you to attach a washer and secure it with the supplied locknuts (2 included).

Installation Tips

  • Use a pilot hole – Always pre-drill with an auger or masonry bit of appropriate depth and width. Anchor will not self-drive.
  • Socket tool required – A 24mm deep impact socket is essential for proper torque and depth control.
  • Leave thread exposed – Allow 25–30mm of shaft above ground for secure nut fastening. Don’t drive flush.
  • Don’t overtighten the top nut – Excessive torque can reduce hold strength by lifting the anchor up out of the ground.

Hook Washer 14—Your Secret Weapon

If your baseplate has a larger clearance hole (e.g. 40–45mm), the hex head of this anchor may slip through. To fix that, we recommend pairing it with our Hook Washer 14. It’s a wide, heavy-duty washer that creates a secure stop point for fastening through larger diameter mounting holes without compromising hold.

Tools Needed

Hold Strength

450mm GR14 Commercial and Threaded GroundGrabbas provide excellent anchoring strength in firm soils, clay, and compacted ground.
They hold significantly stronger than short rebar or star pickets.
Best suited for lighter tie-downs and medium-duty use.
For softer soils or higher wind loads, step up to the 600mm or 900mm GroundGrabba.

Yes. We ship Australia-wide. Regional and remote deliveries may take longer, and Star Track is our recommended courier for reliability outside metro areas. All orders are shipped with ATL (Authority to Leave) unless a signature is specifically requested at checkout.
