Trampoline Ground Anchoring

Whether you're in a breezy coastal area or a suburb prone to wild weather, securing your trampoline is a must. GroundGrabba ground anchors provide serious holding power to help keep trampolines safely grounded. Unlike basic pins or stakes, our drill-driven steel anchors go deep and stay put—minimising the risk of wind uplift or shifting from play. Easy to install and built to last, these are the anchoring solutions parents can rely on.

Pro Packs

Perfect for general backyard soil and suburban lawns. These screw-in anchors are drill-powered, made of galvanised steel, and provide a solid base of security for standard trampolines. We recommend using at least 4.

Pro I packs

For areas with softer or looser soils, Pro I offers deeper reach and improved grip. Great for high-wind zones where trampoline safety is a concern. We recommend using at least 4.

Cable Tie Downs

Wrap around the tubular section of the frame and anchor down with your choice of GroundGrabbas.

Multi L Bracket

This clever accessory allows for solid frame-to-anchor connection. Easily attach your trampoline’s legs or lower frame for added stability in stormy conditions. Direct tech screw or use U-BOlts to clamp directly to the tubular frame vertical or horizontal.

From the founder:

Hi, I’m David Levine, inventor of GroundGrabba. In 2017, Susu and I set out to create purpose-built ground anchors. Today, our range secures everything from tents to tiny homes. We back our steel anchors with a Lifetime Replacement Warranty* and a 100% RISK-FREE 12-month return policy. Whatever you need to anchor, we’ll keep you grounded.

Every year, we see videos of trampolines tumbling across backyards—or worse, flying over fences and crashing into neighbouring homes. While these clips might be entertaining on social media, in real life they often mean property damage, injury, or an expensive cleanup. The truth is, standard trampoline anchor kits just don’t cut it—especially in the kind of winds that Aussie storms can whip up. That’s where GroundGrabba steps in.

If you’ve invested in a trampoline for your family, you’ve likely thought about safety. Netting, padding, and even positioning the trampoline away from hard surfaces are all good ideas—but the most overlooked risk is lift-off. During storm season, trampolines become kites. The problem usually lies with the flimsy ground pegs that come in generic kits. They’re often thin, short, and simply hammered into the dirt—no match for strong wind gusts. Once one side lifts, it’s game over.

GroundGrabba offers a completely different approach. Instead of hammering, you use your cordless drill or impact wrench to screw a heavy-duty anchor deep into the ground. This creates a mechanical hold, not just a surface grip. The difference is night and day.

For standard backyards with firm to medium soil, the GroundGrabba Pro Pack is a solid choice. These 315mm carbon steel anchors have a wide flighted profile, so they bite deep and hold fast. For areas with softer dirt—like freshly turned garden beds, sandier ground, or loamy fill—the GroundGrabba Pro I Pack steps up with longer 465mm anchors for more grip. Both options are made from galvanised steel, so they’re built to last through rain, heat, and time.

Anchors alone are only part of the solution. You also need a secure way to connect your trampoline frame to the anchors themselves. That’s where our Cable Tie Downs come in. This isn’t a kit—these are individual 5mm stainless steel cables pre-looped at each end and ready to go. Two of the cables we offer might be best suited. These are the 300mm or the 450mm. Each cable is multi stranded and 5mm thick with an end loop at each end. You can thread the cable through or around the trampoline base or leg structure and wind your GroundGrabba through the loops before driving it into the ground, or use our Multi L Bracket to tech screw or U-Bolt to the frame, depending on how your trampoline is built.

The Multi L Bracket is a smart, heavy-duty accessory that adds versatility to your anchoring setup. It gives you a two ways to directly secure the trampoline frame to the GroundGrabba anchor shaft. It works especially well when your trampoline legs are tubular or awkwardly shaped. With the right combination of GroundGrabbas, brackets, and cables, you’ll have peace of mind knowing your trampoline won’t budge—whether the kids are bouncing wildly or the next storm rolls in.

Installation is quick and easy. Use a socket adapter (available from us) to connect the GroundGrabba to your drill. Drive the anchor into the ground vertically, attach the bracket if you’re using one, and then secure the tie down cable from the frame to the anchor. Repeat on all four corners, and you’re done. No wrestling with hammer-in stakes, no bending, no fuss.

One of the standout benefits of this system is how easily it can be removed and reused. Just reverse your drill, back the anchor out, and you’re ready to relocate or store it. The gear is reusable, rust-resistant, and purpose-built for serious ground holding.

Some customers ask: “Will these go through rocky ground?” Like all ground anchors, GroundGrabbas won’t penetrate solid rock, concrete, or bitumen. But in most Aussie backyards, you can usually find a patch of workable ground between the rocks. And if your soil is particularly hard-packed or full of gravel, consider pre-drilling a pilot hole using one of our 12mm masonry bits.

We’ve engineered this setup not just for trampolines, but for any application where secure ground anchoring matters. Shade tents, gazebos, temporary fences—once you’ve used GroundGrabba, you’ll never go back to flimsy pegs again.

Finally, we back all Pro Series anchors with a lifetime replacement warranty. If you break it during normal use, we’ll replace it—simple as that. Our goal is to provide not only tough gear, but also peace of mind. And if you’re not satisfied within 12 months, we offer a no-questions-asked return policy.

So whether you live in a high-wind area, want to protect your investment, or just want to make sure the kids stay safe while they play, GroundGrabba offers a simple, durable, and effective solution. Keep your trampoline grounded and your worries at bay.
