Obstacle Course Structure Ground Anchoring

Whether you're building a commercial obstacle course, setting up for a ninja-style challenge, or running an adventure-based event, you need dependable anchoring that’s fast to deploy and won’t shift under pressure. GroundGrabba’s drill-driven earth anchors make light work of securing ground-mounted frames, posts, tensioned wires, and vertical structures—even in soft or unpredictable terrain. Built for strength and speed, they’re ideal for temporary or semi-permanent obstacle course structures that need to stay in place until you're ready to pack down.

Pro I Packs

Ideal for moderately firm ground like turf, compact dirt, or clay, the Pro I features a 450mm length with aggressive threading for reliable grip. It’s an excellent choice for anchoring smaller obstacle frames, nets, or corner tie-downs where speed and strength are essential.

Pro II Packs

At 615mm long, the Pro II offers deeper penetration and better holding strength in looser or sandy soils. Perfect for higher-stress anchoring points like rope swing rigs, climbing nets, or obstacle frames that experience dynamic forces.

Closed Hooks

This adaptor threads directly onto any Pro-series GroundGrabba anchor, allowing for a quick and secure tie-down point. Ideal for connecting ropes or bungees to stabilise elements like guide lines, flag markers, or entry/exit points of the course. The closed-loop shape helps avoid accidental disconnection under stress.

Pigtail Hooks

Great for fast connection and tensioning of guy ropes, the Pigtail Hook easily threads onto your GroundGrabba. Use it for guying upright obstacles like goalposts, archways, or vertical challenges that need lateral stability. Its spiral shape holds rope securely without knots.

From the founder:

Hi, I’m David Levine, inventor of GroundGrabba. In 2017, Susu and I set out to create purpose-built ground anchors. Today, our range secures everything from tents to tiny homes. We back our steel anchors with a Lifetime Replacement Warranty* and a 100% RISK-FREE 12-month return policy. Whatever you need to anchor, we’ll keep you grounded.

Commercial pro II Packs

Designed for extreme applications, the 900mm Commercial Pro II is your go-to for the toughest obstacle installations—particularly where participants generate significant lateral or vertical force. It’s best used for heavy obstacle rigs or critical anchor points that cannot risk movement.

Ground Anchoring for Obstacle Course Equipment, Rigs, and Challenge Structures

From military-style boot camps to commercial adventure parks and inflatable race setups, obstacle course structures demand secure, load-tested anchoring solutions. With safety, stability, and speed all top of mind, GroundGrabba’s range of drill-driven screw-in ground anchors offer a reliable, efficient method for securing frames, rigs, nets, walls, and support lines—without the limitations of traditional pegs or concrete footings.

Whether you’re setting up monkey bars in a muddy paddock or bracing A-frame cargo nets in soft sand, the right anchor must deliver strength, rapid deployment, and dependable resistance to horizontal and upward pull. This is especially true for courses that involve dynamic motion—like swinging, climbing, and pulling—where a failed anchor could lead to equipment collapse or injury. That’s why obstacle course installers and event operators across Australia are turning to GroundGrabba.

Made from steel and designed for high-performance anchoring, GroundGrabba anchors drive deep into soil or sand using a cordless drill or impact wrench. The result? Faster install times, greater holding capacity, and a reusable system that adapts to a wide range of course types and terrain conditions.

But not all ground anchors are created equal—or suitable for every setup. Obstacle course operators should always test their chosen anchor type under load before putting equipment into use. It’s critical to assess both the ground conditions and the directional forces involved, especially for elevated or suspended elements that can exert significant lateral or upward force. If in doubt, choose a deeper or heavier-duty GroundGrabba (like the Commercial Pro II) or use multiple anchors in tandem. Your participant’s safety depends on it.

GroundGrabba’s range includes a variety of anchor lengths, diameters, and mounting brackets to accommodate everything from lightweight pop-up obstacles to permanent timber or steel-framed structures. Adaptors such as ClosedHooks or Multi L Brackets allow fast attachment of ropes, carabiners, poles, or crossbars without the need for post-hole digging or concrete.

Our anchors are ideal for:

  • Inflatable or freestanding ninja rigs
  • Wall climbs or net A-frames
  • Rope swings or tensioned slacklines
  • Balance beams and hurdles
  • Outdoor gym equipment or fitness stations
  • Inflatable challenge structures at fun runs or endurance races

From compact backyard setups to large commercial courses, GroundGrabba gives you the ability to set up fast, adjust or relocate with ease, and ensure structures remain firmly in place under load.

And because terrain can vary—grass paddocks, clay-rich fields, soft sand, or gravel—you’ll want to match your anchor type to the job. For example:

  • GroundGrabba Pro I anchors are well-suited for general-purpose use in firm or compacted ground.
  • Pro II anchors provide deeper bite in softer ground like paddocks, clay fields, or sand.
  • Commercial Pro II delivers extreme hold for high-load applications or poor soil conditions.
  • ClosedHooks and ClosedHook 14s offer closed-loop connection points for ropes or tie-downs.
  • Multi L Brackets give you a solid interface to mount timber or steel frames, posts, or bars to your anchor point.

Whether you're a gym owner running an outdoor fitness course or a race director staging a one-day event, GroundGrabba lets you build with confidence, knowing your structures are backed by strong, field-proven anchoring gear. Reuse them again and again—with only a drill and socket required.
