Facing rock-hard ground? When the soil is too tough to twist into, a masonry drill bit is your secret weapon. Just pre-drill a pilot hole, then drive in your GroundGrabba Pro I, Pro II, or Commercial GR14 anchor with ease. GroundGrabba anchors are built for speed—but in extra-hard terrain, a pilot hole saves time and hassle. All you need is a cordless drill or impact driver, a deep socket, and one of these heavy-duty masonry bits to get the job done right.

Additional Information

If you go camping on really hard compact ground and you’re finding it almost impossible to drive your GroundGrabba Pro, Pro I or Pro II into the ground then try pre-drilling the ground using on of these masonry drill bits.

If using our GroundGrabba Commercial ground anchors or Threaded ground anchors with a 15mm shaft, we recommend using the 15mm x 900mm masonry drill with SDS shank.

You may need to drill the ground an inch or two at a time and keep clearing the hole if the ground is ‘that’ hard.  Perhaps you may also need to widen the hole too

Got hard-packed ground stopping your install?

When you're dealing with compacted clay, gravel, or rocky soil, even the toughest anchor needs a little help getting started. That’s where this 900mm masonry drill bit steps in—giving you the power to pre-drill deep pilot holes for your longer GroundGrabba Pro I, Pro II, or Commercial GR14 anchors.

Professionals know that wasting time fighting tough ground is bad for business. This heavy-duty bit lets you break through the surface fast, creating the perfect path for your anchor to grip and hold. Whether you're setting up site offices, tethering tiny homes, or securing infrastructure in remote areas, a quick pilot hole saves wear on your tools—and your patience.

Engineered for GroundGrabba compatibility, this long masonry bit fits into your rotary hammer drill and reaches the depths needed for high-performance anchors. If you want fast, reliable results without battling the terrain, this is the drill bit that gets you there.
