6. Container Elevation Setup

You have told us that at least part of the container arrangement is not fully supported by the ground. Enter the height above local ground at each bottom corner of each container. Enter 0 where a corner is directly supported by the ground.

Examples of partially supported containers

These are the approved elevation examples. In every case the shipping container remains rigid and level; only the ground/support condition changes.

One end supported by the ground

One end of the container is supported directly by the ground. The opposite end is supported above lower ground.

One long edge supported by the ground

One complete long edge of the container is supported directly by the ground. The opposite long edge is supported above lower ground.

Hybrid — one end and one long edge supported by the ground

One end and one complete long edge are supported directly by the ground. The remaining unsupported areas are carried above lower ground.
