Anchor Your Art With Confidence – Ground Solutions for Outdoor Installations
Whether it’s a large-scale public sculpture, temporary art display, or a creative structure in a windswept paddock, securing your outdoor art installation properly is critical. Exposure to the elements, foot traffic, and shifting soil means your work of art needs more than just visual impact — it needs physical stability.
GroundGrabba screw-in anchors offer artists, curators, and event organisers a fast, reliable and reusable solution for securing sculptures and installations outdoors — without needing concrete or invasive foundations.
Why Artists Choose GroundGrabba for Sculptural Anchoring
Art installations come in all shapes, sizes, and weights. But whether you're anchoring steel frames, timber structures, inflatable pieces, or multi-material exhibits, you need to know they won’t shift or collapse in wind, rain, or crowd interaction.
GroundGrabba’s deep-threaded, drill-driven anchors provide secure ground hold in sand, soil, or clay — ideal for parks, beaches, paddocks, or festivals. They’re removable, reusable, and designed for fast deployment, whether you’re a solo sculptor or managing a public arts project.
🔩 GroundGrabba Pro II Pack – Ideal for Soft to Medium Grounds
When anchoring in sand, loamy soil, or soft ground (like you’ll find at many sculpture fields or festivals), the GroundGrabba Pro II is your go-to. Its longer shaft and aggressive thread design ensure maximum grip, even under tension or dynamic loads.
Simply use a 16mm socket with your cordless drill to install. Tie-off can be done with guy ropes, ratchet straps, or chains attached to the Closed Hook interface or welded structural points on your installation.
🔩 Commercial Pro I Pack – For Harder Soils and Firm Terrain
If your installation is set in firm or compacted ground such as gravel pads, hard dirt or clay, step up to the Commercial Pro I Pack. These anchors are forged from galvanised carbon steel, and use a 1" AF hex head to be driven in with an impact wrench.
This range offers serious holding strength for installations that need to stay upright in variable conditions or semi-permanent placements.
🔩 Commercial Pro II Pack – When You Need Maximum Holding Power
For very soft or sandy ground, or larger pieces with higher wind load, the Commercial Pro II Pack delivers extreme performance. Its longer profile and aggressive thread geometry allow it to dig deep and grip wide — keeping your artwork where it belongs.
Pair it with structural chains, turnbuckles or steel cabling for high-tension setups. It’s a favourite for large-scale or kinetic art where movement must be absorbed safely.
Designed for Creativity, Built for the Elements
GroundGrabba anchors give artists the freedom to create without the headache of engineering footings or pouring temporary concrete. Installations can be set up and packed down quickly, with no trace left behind — ideal for rotating exhibits, festivals, or environmentally sensitive locations.
Key benefits:
- Fast, drill-in installation (no digging)
- Reusable and low-impact
- Suitable for all common ground types
- Compatible with chains, straps, cables or turnbuckles
- Available in standard or commercial grades
Installation Tips for Sculptural Anchoring
To ensure the best outcome for your installation:
- Choose your anchor type based on ground hardness
- Use multiple anchor points evenly spaced around the base
- Attach via Closed Hook fittings, baseplate holes, or welded rings
- Test tension and allow for potential movement if the sculpture is kinetic
